“MAGNOLIAS BLOSSOM”
The scent of magnolia can be most appealing. Especially at the moment of its blossom.
I found this one blossom at an early morning breakfast with a group of Krishna’s. I hurried back to my studio and began drawing this one blossom while listening to Billie Holiday strange fruit. I literally watched it wither away and blossom before my eyes as I drew it onto my 80% rag surface paper. In the process, the scent faded. It was a race for time.
